Competition Classes

1) Newcomer - groomers with lass than 18 months experience - competes in the morning only
2) Experienced – groomers with 18+ months experience, but not having been placed first in that class at a national grooming competition - morning and afternoon classes available
3) Advanced – breed specialists and placed first in that class at a national grooming competition, as well as former best in shows - morning and afternoon classes available

As in previous years, groomers enter either the Newcomer competition (open to student groomers and those with less than 18 months grooming experience); or as an 'Experienced' or 'Advanced' to compete in one of the other main classes listed below. Competitors choose to compete with either one or two dogs in the following classes.
NB: To challenge for Groomer of the Year, a competitor MUST have competed with two dogs.

1. Clipped Terriers or Schnauzers (Judge: Diana North)
2. Handstrip other than gundog (Judge: Alison Rogers)
3. Gundogs (Judge: Fiona Brook)
4. Newcomers (Mathew Spry)
5. Creative Class - Classic Creative and Asian Fusion (Stuart Simons)

5. Miniature or Toy Poodle (Judge: Diana North)
6. Standard Poodle (Judge: Fiona Brook)
7. Purebred Scissor (Judge: Amy Manser).
8. Workshop (Judges: Mathew Spry and Belinda Morris)

All morning classes start at 8.30am. Afternoon classes start at 1pm. Class winners go on to be judged for the overall winner of their Group.

The Advanced and Experienced Group winners are then judged at the end of the day by Amy Manser, the Groomer of the Year judge to determine the 2018 Groomer of the Year.

The Newcomer of the Year will be judged at 11.45am from the 1st place newcomer class winners by a judge still to be confirmed.

Prices include VAT. Registration will close on SUNDAY 21 OCTOBER.

 COMPETITOR RULES must be read before confirming your registration to compete.

CREATIVE COMPETITION RULES must be additionally read by those entering the morning Creative Class.
