Puppy Index is the Pet Care Trust Accredited Breeder scheme uniting prospective puppy owners with responsible breeders.

The Puppy Index manual is used by retailers and other pet specialist members of the Trust who use it as a resource to counsel prospective puppy owners on their choice of breed. They then give them details of our responsible breeders who have signed up to a code of conduct.

The manual shows the UK’s top 100 breeds and contains information for prospective owners on breed health, exercise and grooming. The latest edition features photos of dogs with undocked tails, in line with the latest legislative and breed standard requirements. Vulnerable breeds are also included in order to raise their profile with the dog loving public. With each page laminated and presented in a durable, hardback folder, the manual has a 3-5 year shelf life.
