Advanced Certificate in Dog Grooming 7750-03 Print E-mail
The 7750-03 Advanced Certificate is usually started after you have had about 18 months practical experience in dog grooming. It is a nationally accredited qualification, developed by City and Guilds/NPTC in conjunction with the British Dog Groomers’ Association.

The aim of the scheme is to offer the experienced groomer the opportunity to gain a qualification indicating they have achieved a nationally recognised standard of skills and knowledge.

Entry to the examination is open to anyone who is employed, or training to be employed in professional establishments.  Those intending to enter the examination should follow a course of self-instruction whilst gaining practical experience in their work or training. There is a two part examination to gain the Advanced Certificate: a written paper and a practical element which tests your skills on three different types of dog.

The Advanced Certificate in Dog Grooming will be awarded only to those candidates who reach the required standard in both the practical and written components of the examination.
