The Intermediate Certificate is Dog Grooming (7750-02) is aimed a people coming into the industry and can be achieved as a standalone qualification for students or staff wishing to gain an accrediated qualification, or as part of a progression onto the Advanced Certificate.
The qualification consists of three units:
1) The work environment Health and safety Cleaning and maintaining the work environment 2) Preparing dogs for bathing Handling and restraining dogs Prepare dogs for bathing 3) Bath, dry and finish Bath a range of dogs Dry a range of dogs and prepare for styling Training Training is completed at either at one of our Accredited Grooming Training Centres alongside an appointed and trained mentor, or at an approved NPTC college/training centre. Assessment Assessment is conducted with the workplace or training centre: 1) Practical task – 7 short practical assessments 2) Theoretical knowledge – multiple choice questions assessed on line Candidates are recommended to complete the self assessment work book. |
