The Pet Care Trade Association works hard to represent its members and inform policymakers and opinion formers in the government, civil service and media.

Our policy is informed by its expert committees such as the Kennel & Cattery Committee, the BDGA Examiners' Committee and our Animal Welfare Advisory Group. Policies are signed off by the Board of Directors.

The Trust also makes submissions to government bodies on a variety of topics, again in consultation with membership. This has resulted in considerable success in helping to form government policy and give guidance affecting pet owners. Our
